Pharmacist

About the role

Erada Center for Treatment and Rehab, a governmental entity in Dubai focused on treating substance use disorders and alcohol addiction, is hiring a full-time Pharmacist. The pharmacist provides safe pharmaceutical care by dispensing medications to patients in the inpatient and outpatient clinics, ensures optimal use of medications according to approved standards, and contributes to the continuous improvement of pharmaceutical services through monthly audits reported as KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate all medical prescriptions and medication treatment plans for appropriateness and safety, and discuss conflicts or therapeutic observations with the treating physician.
• Help organize and deliver training and education for physicians, nurses and pharmacists on medication policies and therapeutic protocols, in coordination with the Quality Department.
• Take part in periodic medication inventory counts and review stock in the pharmacy, medication stores, nursing stations and emergency carts.
• Check medications brought by patients from outside the center for storage conditions and expiry, and coordinate with the physician on their possible use.
• Participate in selecting and procuring medications and supplies with the Procurement Department, and manage medication refilling and automated dispensing cabinets, including unit-dose dispensing.
• Perform other duties assigned by the direct supervisor.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• New graduate or up to 3 years of practical pharmacy experience; experience refilling automated dispensing cabinets is preferred.
• Valid DHA license or equivalent license from another UAE regulatory authority.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• UAE nationality required.
