Pharmacovigilance Manager (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

This part‑time position based in Abu Dhabi offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing the Pharmacovigilance Manager to work both on‑site and from home. The manager will lead the collection, evaluation, and reporting of adverse events and safety data for pharmaceutical products, ensuring compliance with both local UAE regulations and international guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain compliance with UAE and international pharmacovigilance regulations (EMA, FDA, ICH, WHO).
• Prepare, submit, and follow‑up on safety reports to regulatory authorities.
• Develop and update pharmacovigilance procedures and SOPs.
• Train colleagues on safety reporting requirements and risk‑management processes.
• Collaborate with medical, regulatory, and quality teams to mitigate safety risks.
• Support audits and inspections, ensuring accurate documentation and continuous improvement of safety systems.

Required profile

• University degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, or Life Sciences; advanced training or certification in pharmacovigilance is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and drug‑safety lifecycle.
• Experience in pharmacovigilance operations, including adverse event reporting, signal detection, and risk management.
• Excellent analytical, documentation, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Fluent written and verbal English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
