Placement Analyst, Investment Banking – Dubai

About the role

Citi Banking is looking for Placement Analysts to join its Middle East & Africa Investment Banking team in Dubai for a 6-month programme starting in January 2027. The team advises corporate clients on Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and Initial Public Offering (IPO) transactions across the region, and the Placement Analyst sits at the core of corporate finance, working on deal execution and pitch preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior investment bankers on live transactions and on preparing pitch materials, acting as a junior member of the team.
• Support the development of pitch books.
• Assess a company's financial performance against industry and market trends.
• Gather and analyse company information, including industry research and detailed financial data analysis.
• Develop valuation analyses and financial models, including trading and transaction comparables, discounted cash flow (DCF) analyses, leveraged buyout (LBO) models and merger models.

Required profile

• Available for 6 months.
• Strong academic record, with a 2:1 equivalent to a 3.0 GPA out of 4.0 at undergraduate level.
• Intellectual curiosity and a proactive mindset.
• Fluency in English.
