Planning Manager

About the role

Royal Joinery, a specialist woodwork workshop, is seeking a Planning Manager to lead project planning and scheduling for high‑profile construction projects. You will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules using Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Monitor progress, update schedules, and identify critical path activities.
• Coordinate resource allocation with procurement to secure materials and equipment.
• Assess risks, propose mitigation strategies, and address schedule impacts proactively.
• Prepare regular progress reports and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Manage change requests, adjusting schedules in collaboration with project managers.
• Support quality assurance by aligning schedules with safety and quality protocols.
• Work with finance to monitor costs, forecast budgets, and track expenditures.
• Identify and implement process improvements in planning and execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5‑7 years of experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in construction.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycle.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
