Planning Manager – Project Scheduling & Control

About the role

The Planning Manager will lead the development and monitoring of turnkey project work programmes, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget. This role coordinates with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to drive timely execution and support extension‑of‑time claims.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain overall project plans, schedules, and contract‑related planning activities from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and internal departments to align scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Prepare technical submittals, methodology documents, and labour forecasts based on BOQ, drawings, and specifications.
• Allocate planning resources, set activity targets, and track progress through weekly project trackers and dashboards.
• Standardise labour forecasting processes and train site engineers on tracker usage.
• Produce weekly progress reports, flash reports, and dashboards for senior management.
• Conduct delay analyses, recommend mitigation strategies, and support extension‑of‑time claims using contractual methodologies.
• Monitor labour utilisation, generate early warnings on target deviations, and compile labour cost forecasts for senior review.

Required profile

• Proven experience in project planning and scheduling within construction or large‑scale engineering projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct delay analysis and develop corrective actions.
• Excellent coordination and communication abilities to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to train and mentor site engineers on planning tools and processes.
