PMV Engineer – Plant, Machinery & Vehicles

About the role

The PMV Engineer will oversee all construction plant, machinery, generators and vehicle assets to guarantee reliable availability and efficient fuel usage across project sites. This position supports uninterrupted project delivery by managing equipment performance, maintenance schedules and diesel consumption.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor construction plant, equipment, generators and site vehicles for operational efficiency.
• Oversee generator operations, diesel consumption, fuel supply and refuelling to ensure continuous power.
• Track fuel usage, maintain consumption records and identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance for generators, heavy equipment and site machinery.
• Allocate, mobilise and optimise plant and equipment utilisation across multiple projects.
• Maintain equipment records, service schedules, breakdown and utilisation reports.
• Liaise with site teams, workshops, suppliers and subcontractors for maintenance support.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, HSE standards and inspection requirements.
• Support equipment planning, rental needs and technical evaluation of plant resources.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of PMV experience on UAE construction projects.
• Proven experience managing generators, diesel fuel operations and heavy equipment.
• UAE driving licence.
• Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
