PR and Social Media Specialist

About the role

Canon Middle East FZ LLC, the operational headquarters for Canon in the Middle East based in Dubai, is looking for a PR and Social Media Specialist. The role develops and publishes organizational communications for the public, customers, government agencies, communities, suppliers and media, and runs the company's social media strategy with campaign development, content planning and performance tracking against KPIs.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, implement and measure PR campaigns that support business objectives, coordinating with external media and social platforms
• Manage the local approval process for press releases, supporting documents and editorial materials with key stakeholders
• Liaise with EMEA PR spokespeople and support crisis communication when needed
• Develop best-practice social media campaigns, content and guidelines aligned with the marketing strategy and local market
• Produce and manage social media assets, maintain content calendars, brief creative and media agencies and track performance against KPIs
• Collaborate with the central Social Communications team to ensure governance and consistency across channels
