Primary Bilingual Teacher (Academic Year 2026/27)

About the role

Aldar Education is looking for an enthusiastic Primary Bilingual Teacher to join its Abu Dhabi school for the 2026/2027 academic year. The successful candidate will deliver the English National Curriculum to a diverse primary cohort, supporting both native and non‑native English speakers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement department policies that reflect the school’s vision and high standards.
• Plan, monitor and evaluate short‑, medium‑ and long‑term departmental goals.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create targeted action plans.
• Design and regularly review schemes of work for all year groups, including provisions for SEN/POD, gifted & talented and EAL learners.
• Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all ability levels.
• Set and uphold expectations for teaching quality, learning outcomes and behaviour.
• Evaluate teaching practice, share effective strategies and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS programme and organise after‑school booster or revision sessions.
• Performance‑manage the teaching team in line with school policies.
• Manage departmental resources, budgets and learning environments effectively.

Required profile

• Secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum and experience delivering the UK curriculum.
• Minimum three years of primary teaching experience.
• Proven track record of raising standards and closing learning gaps.
• Leadership experience at various levels and ability to work collaboratively.
• Alignment with Aldar Education’s core values and appreciation of regional cultural values.

Required skills

• Knowledge of English National Curriculum.
• Experience with SEN, gifted & talented, and EAL provision.
