Primary School Teacher

About the role

The International Schools Partnership (ISP) is recruiting a full-time Primary Teacher for a school in Abu Dhabi. The teacher works alongside a lead teacher to deliver the preschool curriculum, support children's learning and wellbeing, and collaborate with the wider team.

Key responsibilities

• Support classroom instruction by helping the lead teacher implement daily lesson plans, learning activities and educational games aligned with the preschool curriculum.
• Supervise and engage children during activities, playtime, meals and outdoor play, ensuring safety and encouraging positive behaviour.
• Assist with behaviour management by reinforcing classroom rules and guiding children in developing social and emotional skills.
• Prepare learning materials, set up classroom resources and displays, and keep the space clean, organised and hazard-free.
• Provide one-on-one or small-group support to children who need extra help, and observe children's development and behaviour, reporting concerns or progress to the lead teacher.
• Help children with daily routines such as arrivals, departures, toileting, meals and rest time, and model respectful, inclusive and cooperative behaviour.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff to keep teaching practices and childcare consistent.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree.
• Licencia en Educacion Preescolar or equivalent (required).
• Prior experience working with young children in an educational or care setting (preferred).
• All post holders are subject to vetting, including an online due diligence search, references and criminal background checks covering the previous 10 years of employment.
