Principal Digital Twin Consultant

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Principal Digital Twin Consultant in Dubai, UAE, to lead Digital Twin strategy engagements for major infrastructure, urban development and government clients. The role acts as a trusted advisor, defining digital visions, business outcomes, operating models and implementation roadmaps, and leads the Smart City design consultancy activities within a multidisciplinary planning, strategy and design consultancy.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Digital Twin strategy engagements and advise clients on digital visions, business outcomes, operating models and implementation roadmaps.
• Facilitate stakeholder workshops to identify priorities, requirements, use cases and value drivers.
• Develop digital strategies, governance frameworks, information requirements and target-state architectures.
• Define use cases across the asset lifecycle, from planning and design through construction, operations, maintenance and renewal.
• Advise on BIM, digital engineering, GIS, data and technology platforms, and translate business objectives into implementation programmes.
• Support business development, technical proposals, client presentations and thought leadership.
• Mentor Digital Twin, BIM, GIS and Digital Engineering professionals across the Urban Intelligence team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Information Management, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in Digital Twin, smart city solutions, information management or related digital transformation roles in infrastructure or the built environment.
• Demonstrated experience developing Digital Twin strategies, business cases, operating models, governance frameworks and implementation roadmaps.
• Strong understanding of asset lifecycle management and information requirements across planning, design, construction, operations, maintenance, renewal and decommissioning.
• Experience integrating BIM, enterprise systems, asset management platforms and operational systems into Digital Twin environments.
• Leadership experience in multidisciplinary project environments; client-facing, stakeholder management and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Desired: Esri ArcGIS, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS GeoBIM or similar GIS technologies.
• Desired: familiarity with ISO 19650, information management frameworks and digital engineering standards.
• Desired: Digital Twin platforms such as Autodesk Tandem, Willow or similar.
• Desired: knowledge of asset management, IoT, AI-enabled analytics, predictive maintenance and smart infrastructure.
• Desired: experience with clients in the UAE and wider Middle East, and professional certifications in BIM, Digital Engineering, Asset Management, GIS or Project Management.
