Process Automation Engineer

About the role

The Process Automation Engineer will support system maintenance, technical development, and project implementation for Telecommunication, Telemetry, DCS, Process Control, Real‑Time Plant Information and Laboratory Management Systems. The role ensures safe, reliable operation and compliance with company and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing automation systems for obsolescence, spare‑parts availability, vendor support and integration.
• Audit system performance, identify monitoring opportunities and drive process improvements.
• Develop and update technical specifications, economic feasibility studies, functional designs, as‑built documentation and user manuals.
• Coordinate with site maintenance, vendors and engineering teams for modifications, upgrades and commissioning.
• Lead scope definition, tender preparation and technical bid evaluation for new projects.
• Supervise project execution, budget preparation, variance analysis and compliance with HSE and sustainability policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Controls or Automation engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of automation systems in a large industrial environment, preferably oil & gas.
