Process Safety Manager

About the role
The Process Safety Manager reports to the Head of Health and Safety and is responsible for establishing and maintaining effective process safety management across Generation International’s global fleet. Based in Dubai, the role involves extensive travel (up to 70%) to support assets in the GCC, Africa, the Americas, Canada and Australia.
Key responsibilities
- Develop local PSM champions and lead process safety network meetings.
- Conduct and coordinate Process Hazard Risk Assessments (PHRA), including BowTie studies, HAZID and HAZOP workshops.
- Design, deliver and monitor training programmes to raise process safety awareness.
- Investigate safety incidents, apply TapRoot root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with GR09 H&S, GEN PSM Fundamentals and other Engie Group safety standards.
- Maintain up‑to‑date process safety documentation and manage Safety Critical Elements (SCE).
- Support business development by integrating process safety throughout project lifecycles.
- Travel to assets worldwide to provide on‑site support and share lessons learned.
Required profile
- Proven experience in process safety management within an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of hazard risk assessment methodologies (PHRA, BowTie, HAZID, HAZOP).
- Familiarity with Engie Group safety rules such as GR09 H&S and GEN PSM Fundamentals.
- Ability to travel extensively (approximately 70% of time).
- Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
