Procurement Buyer – Vendor Management

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Buyer to manage the end‑to‑end procurement process for DP World. The role involves sourcing suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services to support our global trade operations.

Key responsibilities

• Issue Request for Quotations (RFQ) via fax or email based on internal Oracle requests.
• Validate vendor quotes, prepare bid analysis comparison sheets and shortlist suppliers.
• Negotiate price reductions, delivery lead times and obtain approval from the Procurement Head.
• Create, place and track purchase orders in the system.
• Monitor delivery status, update end‑users and coordinate with finance for invoice processing and payments.
• Handle warranty claims, returns, and order cancellations with proper justification.
• Assist the Procurement In‑Charge in product mix selection and supplier research.
• Manage scrap item sales and maintain positive long‑term vendor relationships.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with multiple stakeholders.
• Good analytical skills for bid comparison and cost evaluation.
• Effective communication for negotiating with suppliers and coordinating with internal teams.
• Experience in handling procurement documentation and warranty processes.
