Procurement Manager

About the role

Join ADCB’s Finance team as a Procurement Manager, where you will lead supplier selection, contract negotiation and cost‑saving initiatives across the bank. You will work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are transparent, compliant and aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the end‑to‑end supplier selection process, including bid planning, proposal evaluation and contract renewals.
• Analyse risks related to time and cost, ensuring fairness and transparency in all bidding activities.
• Negotiate critical supply contracts and approve or reject deviations from contract specifications.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that reduce costs, control spend and foster a culture of long‑term savings.
• Monitor internal procurement processes, correct inaccuracies and enforce best‑practice techniques and codes of conduct.
• Track and report functional metrics to improve expense management and operational effectiveness.
• Lead continuous‑improvement initiatives, recommending cost‑effective deals and supplier options.
• Manage and motivate the procurement team, ensuring adherence to ADCB’s people‑management policies and delivery of business targets.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement, contract negotiation and supplier management within a financial institution or similar environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess risk and cost implications.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team, fostering collaboration and performance.
• Excellent understanding of compliance requirements and internal procurement processes.
• Effective communication skills to influence stakeholders and drive change.
