Procurement Manager – Lead Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

About the role

The Procurement Manager leads the organisation's procurement function, ensuring that all materials, equipment and subcontracted services are sourced strategically, on time and within budget. This senior role combines commercial acumen, strategic thinking and leadership to align procurement activities with project goals and the overall business strategy.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project timelines and business objectives.
• Manage end‑to‑end procurement processes including RFIs, RFQs, tendering, bid evaluation, purchase orders and contract awards.
• Source, evaluate and pre‑qualify suppliers and subcontractors, negotiate pricing, delivery schedules and commercial terms.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost and delivery, conducting periodic evaluations and driving improvements.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, maintain procurement cost databases and support budget control.
• Review and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with company procedures and contractual obligations.
• Analyse market trends, material price movements and supplier capabilities, preparing reports and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Lead, mentor and develop the procurement team, promoting best practices and procedural adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• 7–10 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven experience in strategic sourcing, tendering and supplier relationship management.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive cost optimisation.
