Procurement Officer

About the role

A client in Al Ain is looking for a Procurement Officer who will execute controlled, timely and commercially responsible procurement across the Group's multiple F&B brands, outlets and support functions. The role sources approved goods and services at the right quality, specification, quantity, price and delivery timeline, while maintaining supplier discipline, complete documentation and compliance with approval and financial controls. It also protects the Group from unauthorized purchasing, avoidable costs, poor-quality supply and supplier dependency.

Key responsibilities

• Review and control purchase requisitions: check item description, specification, quantity, delivery date, requesting outlet and cost centre, and challenge incomplete, duplicate or unclear requests.
• Sourcing and supplier identification: find suppliers for food, beverages, coffee items, packaging, cleaning materials, equipment and services, identify alternatives to reduce single-source dependency, and assess suppliers on quality, pricing, lead time, reliability and compliance.
• Request for quotation and comparative evaluation: obtain competitive quotations, ensure equivalent specifications and quantities, and prepare comparative statements covering unit price, total cost, VAT, delivery, payment terms, warranty and lead time.
• Coordinate purchase requirements, quotations, supplier evaluation, purchase orders, delivery follow-up, discrepancy resolution, cost comparison and procurement reporting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Logistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3-5 years of procurement/purchasing experience; UAE F&B, hospitality, restaurant, caf or multi-outlet experience strongly preferred.
