Procurement Officer – UAE National

About the role

LAHAB, the UAE’s sole military‑grade munitions manufacturer, is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage local and international purchasing of general materials. The role ensures all procurement documentation and administrative tasks are completed accurately, supporting smooth operations and national defence readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and log purchase requisitions in the ERP system; maintain daily purchase order logs.
• Source local and international vendors, obtain quotations, and prepare techno‑commercial comparison sheets.
• Negotiate terms, price, delivery, and service conditions to secure the best purchase packages.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and agreements in line with company policies.
• Coordinate pre‑delivery inspections (PDI) at supplier premises and arrange freight with the logistics department.
• Plan and schedule purchases to meet delivery dates, prioritising requests as needed.
• Maintain supplier files, develop long‑term relationships, and manage claims for defective or missing items.
• Continuously improve supply‑chain processes and adhere to the procurement code of ethics.

Required profile

• UAE national with a strong interest in supporting national defence and industrial growth.
• Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply‑chain functions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems for requisition and order management.
