About the role
The Procurement Specialist will support the development and execution of the organization’s procurement plan. Working closely with the Section Head, the role ensures that purchasing activities align with budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the creation of the procurement plan, including quantities, sourcing methods, cost estimates, delivery schedules and cash‑flow projections.
- Implement the approved plan, monitor market trends, and identify suitable suppliers based on defined criteria.
- Review purchase requests for compliance with the annual plan, budget and stock availability.
- Develop supplier qualification criteria and assist in drafting RFP terms, templates and price ranges.
- Support technical and commercial evaluation of proposals and classify them according to evaluation frameworks.
- Negotiate complex contracts, issue purchase orders, and ensure goods/services meet technical specifications.
- Conduct periodic inventory checks, resolve claims and disputes, and evaluate supplier performance.
- Maintain and archive all procurement and contract documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 3–5 years of professional procurement experience, preferably in a relevant industry.
