Product Manager - Retail Products (Cards)

About the role

ADCB's Retail Banking Group serves retail and micro-business customers with conventional and Shari'ah-compliant banking products and services, and is seeking a Product Manager for its retail cards business. The role covers product strategy, portfolio management, marketing and customer campaigns, and involves leading a small team.

Key responsibilities

• Formulate product strategies to grow market share and profitability, and propose and implement new product propositions and marketing alliances
• Monitor and control the product mix, portfolio composition, usage patterns, cost of funds and yields, in line with business objectives and regulatory and bank guidelines
• Manage customer communication through collateral and term sheets, and run customer campaigns via ads and promotions
• Monitor market trends and incorporate new technology-driven developments into bank offerings
• Control advertising and promotion funds against allocated budgets
• Take part in planning, developing and running acquisition programmes, and analyse their performance to recommend fixes
• Work with external partners, vendors and internal departments, and prepare reports on time
• Contribute to the business area's budget and monitor financial performance against it
• Manage the team, set individual objectives, give feedback and recommend improvements to policies and processes
• Apply ADCB's service standards in all customer interactions

Required profile

• At least 6 years of experience in banking or a financial institution
• Experience in cards products is a must
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Economics

Required skills

• Numerical and financial analysis skills
• Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
