Production Engineer I – Thunder (Emirati Talent)

About the role

The Production Engineer I supports production engineering activities, assembly execution, and shop‑floor operations to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant production. The role provides technical support for production readiness, data‑pack reviews, engineering changes, discrepancy resolution, process improvements, and performance monitoring while collaborating with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Stores, Maintenance and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Support production lines and assembly areas to execute approved plans, work instructions, drawings and specifications.
• Maintain regular shop‑floor presence to verify workstation readiness, material availability, tooling, fixtures, testers and documentation.
• Review engineering and manufacturing documentation to identify discrepancies, execution risks and improvement opportunities.
• Track and coordinate resolution of discrepancies between engineering data, SAP/MES records and shop‑floor execution.
• Conduct DFMA/DFM/DFA reviews to improve manufacturability, safety, quality and production flow.
• Collect and analyze production data (output, downtime, defects, rework, OEE/OLE) and support KPI improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 0‑3 years of experience in production, manufacturing, operations or technical environments.
• Knowledge of production processes, shop‑floor operations and technical documentation.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, SAP/MES, production orders and routing management is preferred.
