Professor (Assistant/Associate) in Public International Law

About the role

The College of Law at UAE University is seeking a qualified faculty member to join its Public Law Department. The position is open for candidates at the Assistant, Associate, or full Professor level specializing in Public International Law.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Public International Law in both Arabic and English.
• Develop and lead research projects, publish in peer‑reviewed Scopus‑indexed journals, and contribute to the university’s research profile.
• Supervise graduate theses and mentor junior faculty members.
• Participate in departmental committees, curriculum development, and academic governance.

Required profile

• PhD in Public International Law or an equivalent degree from a recognized university.
• Distinguished research record with publications in Scopus‑indexed journals and an appropriate H‑index.
• Minimum five years of teaching experience at a reputable university.
• Proficiency in teaching both Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Ability to teach complex legal concepts in Arabic and English.
• Strong academic writing and publishing skills.
• Experience in supervising graduate research.
