Professor - Leading Scientist in Healthcare and Biomedical Sciences

About the role

UAE University, together with the College of Medicine and Health Sciences (CMHS), is recruiting leading scientists to advance research in healthcare and biomedical sciences. The work focuses on key health challenges through areas such as stem cells, personalized medicine, AI in healthcare and bioengineering. Candidates must have a strong research record, leadership experience and a commitment to mentoring students and securing funding.

Required profile

• MD and PhD, or PhD with a strong publication record in high-impact journals and a high h-index (at least 40 on Scopus) and significant citations.
• Proven ability to secure competitive research grants and lead collaborative projects.
• Experience teaching and supervising graduate students, with evidence of their success.
• Leadership in research programmes, international collaborations and academic conferences.
• Awards, invited talks and editorial roles showing peer recognition in the field.
• Alignment with the research goals of CMHS, UAEU and national strategic priorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.

Preferred research focus includes stem cells, generative AI in healthcare, personalized medicine, biobanking and large-scale population studies, environment and health, healthy aging, and major health challenges such as cancer, cardiometabolic diseases, mental health and genetic conditions.
