Project Coordinator - Solar

About the role

The Project Coordinator will lead the technical planning, coordination, and execution of residential solar PV projects, ensuring they meet engineering standards, timelines, and regulatory requirements. This role acts as the bridge between clients, internal engineering, procurement, and on‑site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate residential solar projects from design finalisation through commissioning and hand‑over.
• Review technical drawings, layouts, single‑line diagrams (SLDs) and BOQs with engineering teams.
• Conduct site surveys to assess structural feasibility, electrical readiness, shading and installation constraints.
• Support system sizing, equipment selection and configuration validation.
• Schedule installations, monitor on‑site quality, safety and compliance with engineering standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning.
• Oversee inverter configuration, grid synchronization and performance testing.
• Coordinate approvals, inspections and grid‑connection processes with authorities and utilities.
• Maintain accurate as‑built documentation, commissioning reports and compliance records.
• Support O&M planning, performance checks and preventive maintenance scheduling.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy or related field.
• 3‑5+ years of experience in solar PV project coordination, preferably residential.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder communication skills.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with engineering, procurement and field teams.

• Understanding of grid‑tied residential solar standards and authority requirements.
