Project Director - Site

About the role

Egis, an international firm active in architecture, consulting, construction engineering and mobility services, is looking for an experienced Project Director - Site to lead and oversee all aspects of its project operations in Dubai, UAE. The role covers complex site projects from inception through completion, keeping them aligned with organisational objectives, regulatory requirements and stakeholder expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct site-based project activities, including planning, execution, monitoring and closure, within scope, schedule and budget
• Lead, mentor and manage cross-functional project teams
• Develop project plans, timelines and resource allocation strategies, and analyse performance metrics to take corrective action
• Manage budgets, control costs and optimise resource use
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks, and prepare contingency plans
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, safety standards and organisational policies, and carry out regular audits and inspections
• Communicate regularly with stakeholders, clients and senior management, and coordinate with internal departments and external vendors
• Apply best practices and seek continuous process improvement

Required profile

• At least 10 years of professional project management experience, including at least 5 years in site-based or construction project leadership
• Proven track record managing large, complex projects with budgets exceeding $5 million
• Experience with budget management, cost control and financial analysis
• Knowledge of UAE regulations, local building codes and regional project management standards
• Preferred: PMP certification or equivalent, and previous experience managing projects in the Middle East or UAE
• High-rise building and hospitality experience is required

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Risk assessment, mitigation and contingency planning
