Project Engineer – Projects Department (Restoration)

About the role

The Project Engineer will support and execute engineering activities across the full project lifecycle, from concept and FEED through detailed engineering, construction, commissioning and hand‑over. The role ensures delivery in line with safety, quality, schedule, cost and ADNOC Value Assurance Process requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support all phases of project delivery, including development of Statement of Requirements and execution strategies.
• Assist in tender preparation, evaluation of consultants, PMC and EPC contractors, and review of contractor engineering deliverables.
• Monitor engineering, procurement and construction progress, identify bottlenecks and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with licensors, contractors, vendors and internal stakeholders; participate in project meetings and technical reviews.
• Track contractor performance, invoices, claims, variations, risks and trends impacting cost and schedule.
• Facilitate risk analysis, PHSER and ATR reviews and ensure compliance with HSE, safety and quality standards.
• Maintain project documentation, records and support preparation of progress reports.
• Coordinate pre‑commissioning, commissioning activities and hand‑over of facilities to Operations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of project engineering experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi‑disciplinary project execution and monitor contractor performance.
• Strong risk identification and mitigation skills with a focus on technical compliance and quality assurance.
• Effective collaboration with engineering, project and operations teams.
