Project Manager – Electrical Substation Projects

About the role

The Project Manager leads the planning, execution, monitoring and delivery of high‑voltage electrical substation projects (132kV, 220kV, 400kV and distribution). The role ensures compliance with contractual, technical, quality, safety and client requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and budgets.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams (civil, electrical, mechanical, QA/QC, HSE, procurement, subcontractors).
• Manage procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and hand‑over phases.
• Monitor progress, control costs, manage risks and implement recovery plans.
• Handle contract administration, variations, claims and stakeholder communication.
• Ensure quality assurance, quality control and HSE compliance on site.
• Lead progress review meetings, monitor subcontractor performance and close punch points/NCRs.
• Prepare as‑built documentation and project close‑out reports.

Required profile

• Strong leadership, communication, negotiation and decision‑making abilities.
• Extensive experience managing high‑voltage substation and EPC projects.
• Proven ability to engage stakeholders and drive project governance.

Required skills

• Management of 132kV, 220kV, 400kV substation projects.
• Experience with EPC contract delivery and project controls.
