Project Manager - Subsea

About the role

Black & Grey HR is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead subsea Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Inspection, Repair and Maintenance (IRM) and inspection projects for a client in Abu Dhabi. The role is permanent, office‑based with required offshore and field travel, and you will act as the primary interface with the client throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑lifecycle delivery of subsea EPC, IRM, inspection and offshore construction projects from contract award to close‑out.
• Develop and maintain execution plans, integrated schedules, resource plans, cost trackers, risk registers and project controls.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across engineering, procurement, operations, marine, offshore, logistics and project support functions.
• Serve as the main client contact, handling communications, progress meetings, technical discussions, contractual correspondence and variation requests.
• Monitor and control project financial performance, including budgeting, cost forecasting, cash flow and margin protection.
• Identify, assess and mitigate project risks, technical challenges and execution issues.
• Plan and oversee offshore campaigns, vessel mobilisations, subcontractor activities and third‑party interfaces.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies, client requirements, industry standards and quality management systems.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and vendors to guarantee timely delivery of materials, equipment and services.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering subsea EPC, IRM or inspection projects from award to close‑out.
• Strong ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in an offshore environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing project financials, budgets and commercial risks.
• Excellent client‑facing skills with a track record of maintaining stakeholder relationships.
• Solid understanding of HSE standards and quality management in offshore projects.
