Project Officer - Group Security Business Support

About the role

Emirates Group Security is hiring a Project Officer for its Group Security - Business Support team in Dubai. The officer assists Project Managers with the development and implementation of projects, including project plans, process review, redesign and solutions, and contributes to issue resolution, research, analysis and planning and monitoring. The Group Security team also includes Security Training, Group Security Command Centre, Hub Operations, Crime Prevention & Investigation, Threat & Risk Assessment and Aviation Security Assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, track and report on the status of project deliverables so that time, cost and quality metrics match the approved project plans.
• Maintain a register of compliance with the endorsed project management methodology.
• Lead change management processes as required.
• Contribute to the development of project plans under the guidance of a Project Manager.
• Research and analyse options for business cases and project deliverables to support decision-making.
• Lead defined projects with the guidance of the Project Manager.
• Undertake process mapping to identify opportunities for efficiency and recommend service redesign.

Required profile

• Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent).
• 3+ years of experience in general administration.
• Experience on projects or in a project team is an advantage.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently, and to manage several priorities under pressure.
• Demonstrated experience in budget and financial management.

Required skills

• PRINCE2 or PMP certification is desirable but not essential.
• Familiarity with Microsoft applications, especially Excel and Project, and other scheduling software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
