Projects Control Manager – Cost Engineering

About the role

WSP Middle East Limited is looking for an experienced Projects Control Manager (Cost Engineering) to lead cost planning, budgeting, forecasting and control for Abu Dhabi Ports projects. The role works closely with project, commercial and client teams to ensure delivery on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed cost plans, budgets and forecasts for assigned projects.
• Monitor actual costs against approved budgets and provide regular variance analysis.
• Identify, assess and mitigate cost‑related risks and change impacts throughout the project lifecycle.
• Prepare and present cost reports, dashboards and financial performance summaries to senior management and clients.
• Lead the preparation of cost estimates for variations, claims and change orders.
• Implement and maintain cost control procedures, tools and best practices in line with WSP standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in cost engineering, project controls or cost management on large‑scale infrastructure or maritime projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with cost control software such as Primavera P6, SAP and CostX.
• Advanced Excel skills.
