Public Cloud Business Development Team Lead

About the role

Alibaba Cloud is seeking an experienced leader to drive public‑cloud business development in Dubai. You will build strategic relationships with key enterprise and government customers, translate their needs into qualified opportunities, and lead a team to accelerate cloud adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze target industries, identify high‑potential customers and map decision‑making chains to uncover real needs.
• Engage C‑level executives, build trust, and convert requirements into qualified sales opportunities.
• Drive upsell and cross‑sell initiatives, accelerate cloud resource consumption and ensure continuous value delivery.
• Deliver presentations on Alibaba Cloud core offerings, including Apsara Cloud OS, the “7 Core Products” and AI/Intelligent Computing solutions.
• Coordinate cross‑functional resources to support end‑to‑end project implementation and resolve product‑usage issues.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in the cloud computing industry with a proven public‑cloud sales record.
• 3+ years of team‑leadership experience or success managing complex cross‑functional projects.
• Extensive experience leading large‑scale customer stack migrations and scaling revenue across key accounts.
• Industry‑specific domain expertise and ability to analyze customers’ strategic, operational and technical landscapes.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of Alibaba Cloud services, including Apsara Cloud Operating System and AI/Intelligent Computing solutions.
• Strong capability to articulate technical value and competitive advantages to enterprise customers.
• Proven ability to conduct high‑level business and technical dialogues with CEOs, CTOs and other senior stakeholders.
