PYP/MYP Innovation Teacher (Jan 2027)

About the role

GEMS World Academy – Dubai, an International Baccalaureate World School offering PreK to Grade 12, is looking for a PYP/MYP Innovation Teacher to join its team from January 2027. The successful candidate will be passionate about inquiry-led learning and committed to academic excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the IB curriculum, inspiring curiosity and critical thinking.
• Create an inclusive, internationally minded environment, differentiate instruction and use assessment data to support student progress.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, share best practice and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Build positive relationships with students, parents and the wider community, supporting wellbeing and co-curricular and enrichment activities.
• Uphold the values of GEMS Education and the IB Learner Profile and commit to professional growth.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree with a recognised teaching qualification such as a PGCE, State Teaching License or equivalent.
• At least three years of experience teaching Primary or Middle Years Innovation, ideally within an IB curriculum (IB experience preferred but not essential).
• Strong understanding of the IB PYP/MYP framework and Approaches to Teaching (preferred).
• Available to start in January 2027.
