QA/QC Engineer – Electrical & Instrumentation (Oil & Gas)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced QA/QC Engineer specialized in Electrical & Instrumentation for oil and gas projects. The role focuses on procurement quality management, vendor documentation review, and on‑site inspections to ensure compliance with ADNOC and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review, verify and approve vendor quality documents such as QC procedures, ITPs, FAT/SAT procedures, calibration procedures and test certificates.
• Evaluate vendor quality systems against project specifications, ADNAC requirements and applicable codes.
• Analyse documentation for HIPPS, ICSS and DCS packages to ensure technical and quality compliance.
• Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical and quality queries.
• Monitor vendor manufacturing, assembly and testing through documentation review and on‑site inspections.
• Conduct and supervise electrical and instrumentation inspections at the project site.
• Guide construction teams during installation, cable laying, termination and commissioning of E&I systems.
• Supervise testing and commissioning of HIPPS, ICSS and DCS packages.
• Apply ADNOC, IEC, IEEE, ISA, API and other relevant codes.
• Participate in quality audits and manage NCRs, CARs and other quality reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics or Instrumentation Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC experience in oil and gas, with at least 3 years in procurement quality management.
• Proven experience reviewing vendor documentation for HIPPS, ICSS and DCS.
• Mandatory experience on ADNOC projects.
• Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, ISA, API standards.
• Excellent communication and vendor coordination skills.
• Relevant QA/QC certifications (e.g., ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, CompEx, IECEx) preferred.
