QA/QC Manager - Interior Fit-Out Projects

About the role

Careers International is looking for an experienced QA/QC Manager with strong experience in interior design and fit-out projects. The role covers implementing and maintaining quality standards so that all works, materials and installations meet approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and client requirements. It involves coordination with consultants, clients, subcontractors and site teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain Project Quality Plans (PQP) and QA/QC procedures, and set quality standards and inspection procedures for interior fit-outs.
• Review drawings, specifications, method statements and material submittals; prepare and run Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and checklists.
• Inspect site activities and completed works, including joinery, carpentry, flooring, ceilings, partitions, painting, doors, furniture and architectural finishes.
• Coordinate material inspections and manage NCRs, observations and corrective/preventive actions.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, site engineers, subcontractors and suppliers on quality matters, and conduct internal quality audits.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation, inspection records, test reports, approvals and quality registers, and review subcontractor submissions.
• Monitor subcontractor quality performance, identify quality risks and take corrective action, and report quality status in project meetings.
• Assist with handover, snagging and de-snagging, and ensure compliance with ISO standards and project quality requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.
• 7-12 years of QA/QC experience, with significant experience in interior design and fit-out projects (commercial, residential, hospitality, retail or office).
• Good knowledge of architectural finishes, joinery, carpentry, ceilings, partitions, flooring and painting.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, clients, subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
• UAE/GCC experience in interior fit-out is highly preferred.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and MEP drawings.
• Strong understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, method statements, checklists, NCRs and inspection processes.
• Knowledge of construction quality standards and specifications; ISO 9001 knowledge or certification is an advantage.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Strong documentation, reporting, problem-solving and communication skills.
