QA/QC Material Engineer - Road & Infrastructure

About the role

Parsons is looking for a Material / QAQC Engineer to join its Construction Supervision team in Abu Dhabi. The role leads materials QA/QC activities for road and infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with project specifications, ADQCC standards and quality requirements through proactive inspections, testing coordination and documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and maintain project QA/QC plans, procedures and site quality controls for marine and infrastructure activities.
• Review and process material submittals and approvals, and verify delivered materials against approved submittals and specifications.
• Coordinate and witness field and laboratory sampling and testing, ensuring results meet acceptance criteria.
• Conduct routine inspections and audits, raise NCRs and observations, and follow up corrective and preventive actions to closure.
• Work with engineers, contractors and site teams to resolve quality issues and prevent rework.
• Maintain QA/QC records, inspection logs and test reports needed for project close-out and handover.
• Promote compliance with HSE requirements while carrying out QA/QC duties on site.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 7 years of QA/QC and materials inspection experience in the UAE, preferably on road, CT and infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, inspection and testing requirements and QA/QC practices.
• Strong documentation, reporting and coordination skills, able to work with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in construction supervision and supporting client approval processes is desired.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of ADQCC and SMART HUB requirements, and other authorities' requirements.
• Relevant QA/QC certifications are an advantage.
