QC Inspector – Mechanical

About the role

The QC Inspector – Mechanical will ensure that all mechanical, welding, painting, coating and NDT activities on construction sites, fabrication yards and vendor locations meet the approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), project specifications and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and witness testing for EPC contractors and manufacturers according to approved ITPs.
• Review, verify and endorse inspection and testing records for compliance.
• Monitor contractor and manufacturer QC personnel and report quality concerns.
• Represent the client in QA/QC meetings and perform material receiving inspections.
• Inspect welding, painting/coating and NDT activities, including procedure reviews and qualification witnessing.
• Oversee pressure vessel, heat exchanger, piping, pipeline, tank and rotating equipment receipt, installation and testing.
• Participate in site walk‑downs, punch‑list clearance and report non‑conformities.
• Review and verify quality documentation such as MTCs, NDT reports, hydrostatic test records and inspection release notes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in mechanical quality control inspections on construction or fabrication projects.
• Familiarity with international standards and project specifications for mechanical, welding, coating and NDT disciplines.
• Ability to identify non‑conformities, prepare NCRs and follow corrective actions to closure.
• Strong documentation review skills and ability to work closely with contractors and client teams.
