QC Inspector – Piping Commissioning

About the role

Orbit International Survey Services is seeking an experienced QC Inspector to support piping commissioning activities on oil & gas and energy projects. The role involves ensuring that all piping work complies with project specifications, industry standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify P&IDs, isometrics, and test packages against installed piping.
• Inspect pipe routing, size, material grade, orientation, supports, hangers, guides, and valve installations.
• Check flange connections, gasket selection, bolt material, torque procedures and alignment.
• Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic testing inspections, including leak testing and pressure holding.
• Confirm mechanical completion of piping systems and readiness for hydro‑test or reinstatement.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of QC piping experience on oil & gas projects.
• Relevant certifications such as CSWIP, ASNT or API are preferred.

Required skills

• Reading and interpreting P&IDs and isometric drawings.
• Hydrostatic and pneumatic testing procedures.
• Knowledge of ASME, API and ISO codes.
• Inspection of supports, hangers, valves, flanges and welds.
