Quality Assurance & Control Inspector

About the role

The Quality Assurance & Control Inspector joins a multi‑disciplinary Operations team to support safe and efficient drilling, completions and pipeline construction activities. Based in the Abu Dhabi office with regular field and yard visits, the role ensures operations meet client standards, regulatory requirements and environmental responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee inspection activities for oilfield equipment such as pipelines, pressure vessels, structural components and downhole assemblies.
• Review material certificates, inspection reports and quality documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Verify fabrication, welding, coating and assembly against approved procedures and specifications.
• Identify non‑conformities, recommend corrective actions and track their resolution.
• Participate in audits, client inspections and project quality reviews.
• Coordinate with engineers, supervisors and contractors to resolve quality‑related issues.
• Ensure compliance with international oil & gas standards, local regulations and client‑specific requirements.
• Support integration of QA/QC requirements into tender documents, contracts and purchase orders.
• Monitor and report inspection results.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in contractor oversight and third‑party inspections, preferably representing an oil & gas operator.
• Ability to work proactively with contractors and cross‑functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of international oil & gas standards and local regulations.
• Experience reviewing technical documentation and managing corrective actions.

Required skills

• Inspection of pipelines, pressure vessels and structural components.
• Review of material certificates and quality documentation.
• Verification of welding, coating and assembly processes.
• Audit participation and client inspection support.
• Knowledge of international oil & gas standards.
• Knowledge of local regulatory requirements.
• Integration of QA/QC requirements into tender and contract documents.
• Reporting of inspection results.
