Quality Control Assistant Engineer

About the role

Jorefco Industries, a commercial vehicle body manufacturer based in the Saja Industrial Area, is looking for a Quality Control Assistant Engineer to support the Quality Control Engineer at its Saja factory. The role covers production inspections, quality checks, documentation and day-to-day activities of the Quality Department, working closely with the production team so that products and processes meet quality standards, specifications and company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Quality Control Engineer in daily quality control and inspection activities.
• Inspect materials, components, fabrication and finished products, and verify measurements, dimensions, workmanship and material quality.
• Monitor production processes against approved specifications and quality standards.
• Identify and report defects, deviations and non-conformities, and coordinate with the Production Department to resolve quality issues.
• Help with root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and monitor rework and corrective work.
• Maintain inspection reports, checklists, records and documentation, and support internal inspections and audits.
• Ensure quality procedures are followed on the production floor, follow up on pending quality concerns and promote quality awareness among production staff.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, preferably in manufacturing; automotive, fabrication, metal works or commercial vehicle body building experience preferred.
• Ability to identify welding defects and fabrication issues, and to read engineering drawings and measurements.
• Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and documentation.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving, communication and coordination skills, and willingness to work on the production floor.
• UAE experience is an advantage.
