Quality Control Inspector

About the role

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that construction work complies with project specifications, technical drawings, and quality standards. This role involves conducting inspections, reporting non‑conformities, and coordinating corrective actions on site.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and report non‑conformities, follow up on remedial actions, and sign off completed work components.
• Study project specifications and technical drawings to understand the scope of work.
• Inspect work within the allocated area to ensure compliance with the quality inspection plan.
• Resolve minor issues on site and prepare non‑conformance reports for serious breaches.
• Issue inspection and testing records promptly and verify their adequacy.
• Generate daily inspection reports, sign off work segments at hold points, and forward documentation for filing.
• Liaise with the client’s QC representative to clarify inspection activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards throughout the inspection process.

Required profile

• Post‑secondary technical diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar quality control role within construction.
• Experience in dredging and marine projects is preferred.
