Quality Manager

About the role

Wood is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead the development and execution of project quality strategies for large‑scale oil & gas projects. You will work closely with the Integrated Project Management Team (IPMT) to ensure that all quality objectives, standards, and procedures are integrated throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Develop the Project Quality Management Policy, objectives and detailed Quality Plan aligned with scope and execution strategy.
• Establish and manage the QA/QC organisation, resource plan and department budget.
• Design and run project audit and monitoring programmes, including dashboards to track improvement.
• Validate and approve QMS, QA/QC specifications, Inspection & Test Plans and vendor plans.
• Coordinate outsourced quality activities and manage interfaces with contractors and suppliers.
• Lead investigations of QA/QC issues, capture lessons learned and report KPI performance to stakeholders.
• Support EOI, ITT and tender evaluation processes and participate in project close‑out reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent) and a Master’s in Management or related field.
• Minimum 20 years of experience in the oil & gas sector, including PMC or EPC quality management on large projects.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards.
• Proven ability to make independent judgments on quality matters and to lead cross‑functional teams.

• Project quality planning and KPI reporting.
• Audit, monitoring and continuous‑improvement methodologies.
