Quality Officer

About the role

The Quality Officer will implement and monitor the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan at American Hospital Dubai. The role works closely with clinical and administrative leaders to evaluate patient care, track improvement results, and present findings to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, implementing, and monitoring the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Program.
• Develop data collection tools for key performance measures and support IT infrastructure for hospital‑wide reporting.
• Coordinate with department leaders to ensure compliance with data collection, analysis, and reporting requirements.
• Design and maintain data display techniques and reporting formats for use across the organization.
• Monitor core measures, including Joint Commission International (JCI) requirements, and support policy development.
• Guide the creation of clinical practice guidelines, protocols, pathways, and order sets.
• Develop and deliver education programs on data analysis and performance improvement.
• Analyze areas for improvement, recommend process changes, and manage performance improvement projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or equivalent; current license preferred.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) preferred (to be obtained within 6‑12 months).
• Minimum 3 years clinical experience in an acute‑care international hospital.
• Minimum 2 years experience in Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement.
• Strong knowledge of quality improvement tools, accreditation programs, and health information data management.

Required skills

• Ability to develop and manage large, complex quality improvement projects.
• Proficiency in data analysis, problem‑solving, and statistical evaluation.
• Experience with designing data collection tools and reporting dashboards.
• Strategic influencing and engagement with clinicians and senior leaders.
