Ramp Team Leader

About the role

The Ramp Team Leader provides front-line leadership and operational supervision during aircraft turnaround activities, ensuring the safe, efficient and on-time loading and unloading of aircraft deadload. The role is accountable for maintaining the highest safety standards, coordinating ramp resources and leading teams in compliance with SOPs, safety and service requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Be accountable for the safe loading and unloading of aircraft deadload and the responsible focal point for all team members, acting proactively to ensure smooth collaboration between turnaround teams
• Ensure all SOPs are followed at all times by yourself and your team, and lead the promotion of safety, with hazards and occurrences reported immediately
• Ensure clear communication at all levels, including team briefings and completion of relevant reports
• Check all aircraft contact points for damage on arrival and departure and report irregularities to the Duty Manager
• Report all hazards and occurrences to management, raising GSRs when required within corporate guidelines

Required profile

• High school diploma
• At least 3 years of airport ground handling experience
