Rebates Program Lead - Film Production Incentives

About the role

Aspire Manpower Services is hiring a Rebates Program Lead on behalf of its client, a government entity in Abu Dhabi. The role manages and assesses film production rebate applications, reviews production budgets and expenditure, and ensures compliance with rebate guidelines from interim application through final certification.

Key responsibilities

• Assess interim and final rebate applications, including budgets, schedules, scripts and audit reports.
• Prepare assessment reports and recommendations for approval or rejection.
• Conduct production site visits to verify activities against submitted plans.
• Evaluate changes to production schedules, personnel, cast and locations and their impact on qualifying expenditure.
• Review audited production costs, benchmark crew and supplier rates and verify the eligibility of claimed expenditure.
• Coordinate with applicants, production companies, auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Develop application templates, checklists and review procedures.
• Recommend improvements to rebate guidelines and workflows, informed by international incentive schemes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline, with a specialisation in film production; a master's degree is preferred.
• 10 years of relevant experience in finance, film incentives or rebates.
• Previous experience as a Physical Producer, Line Producer, Financial Controller or Production Accountant.
• UAE production experience and familiarity with film rebate processes are advantageous.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel independently for site visits; flexibility to work outside regular hours, including weekends.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Movie Magic Budgeting and strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong understanding of production budgeting, auditing, cost reporting and production operations.
• Analytical, report-writing and stakeholder communication skills.
• Professional proficiency in written and spoken English; Arabic is desirable.
