Recreation Supervisor - Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah

About the role

Hilton is hiring a Recreation Supervisor for its Waldorf Astoria hotel in Ras Al Khaimah. The role supervises the daily operation of the pools, beach and other recreation areas, keeping service safe, efficient and in line with hotel standards. The position is full time.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operation of the pools, beach and other recreation areas, ensuring safe, efficient service in line with hotel standards.
• Coordinate staffing, shift coverage, work assignments and breaks to meet operational needs and guest demand.
• Monitor guest service, cleanliness, facility presentation and equipment readiness through regular inspections.
• Monitor compliance with safety procedures, pool and beach rules and the hotel's emergency response plans.
• Coordinate with lifeguards on coverage, rescue equipment readiness and reporting of changing conditions.
• Conduct team briefings, coach team members, give performance feedback and support training and development.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints, resolve them within the role's authority and escalate when needed.
• Report maintenance defects, follow up on corrective action and restrict access to unsafe facilities or equipment.
• Monitor supplies, activity materials and equipment inventories and coordinate replenishment with the Kids Club & Recreation Manager.
• Maintain inspection checklists, attendance records, incident reports and shift handovers.
• Coordinate with other hotel departments to support guest requests, special events and smooth recreation operations.

Required profile

• Knowledge of hotel recreation operations, including pool, beach and recreational activities and facility readiness.
• Knowledge of pool and beach safety, child safeguarding, hygiene standards, incident reporting and emergency response procedures, and the ability to enforce rules.
• Understanding of luxury hospitality standards and the ability to deliver attentive, personalised guest service.
• Familiarity with Forbes service standards preferred.
• Ability to supervise a multicultural team, coordinate shift coverage, delegate, coach and monitor performance.
• Clear verbal and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Ability to stay outdoors for long hours.

Required skills

• Able to maintain accurate operational records, prepare reports and use Microsoft Office and relevant hotel systems.
• Team supervision and coaching.
