Regional Scientific Lead – MENA & Eurasia

About the role

The Regional Scientific Lead for MENA & Eurasia will provide strategic medical leadership for Viatris' innovative portfolio across the region. Reporting to the MENA Eurasia Regional Medical Lead, you will translate global medical strategy into actionable regional plans and drive scientific excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional medical innovation strategies aligned with global priorities and local healthcare needs.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with key external experts, scientific societies, and healthcare stakeholders.
• Provide medical input for launch readiness, lifecycle management, and evidence‑generation activities for innovative therapies.
• Anticipate scientific trends, competitive dynamics, and unmet patient needs to shape future medical direction.
• Serve as the regional scientific expert and trusted advisor for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure high‑quality scientific exchange and evidence‑based medical communication across the region.
• Communicate and manage drug safety issues while fostering strong partnerships with HCPs.
• Generate actionable medical insights to inform strategy and support affiliate medical teams.
• Coach, mentor, and provide scientific guidance to strengthen regional medical capabilities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in medical or scientific leadership within a highly matrixed multinational organization.
• Strong influencing skills with the ability to navigate complex matrix environments.
• Excellent coaching and mentorship abilities for affiliate medical teams.
• Demonstrated capability to build strategic relationships with external experts and societies.
• Track record of delivering high‑quality scientific exchange and evidence‑based communication.
