Registered Nurse - Oncology

About the role

Kings College Hospital Dubai is looking for a Registered Nurse in Oncology to provide professional nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting. The nurse records patient histories, performs diagnostic tests, administers medications, develops care plans with other medical professionals and supports physicians during examinations and procedures while operating and monitoring medical equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a high standard of evidence-based care to patients at the hospital.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient needs on an ongoing basis.
• Keep patients and their relatives regularly informed about their condition in clear, sensitive ways.
• Uphold high standards of care across all departments and adhere to DHA guidelines.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and respect each patient's cultural and religious beliefs, privacy, dignity, gender and sexuality.
• Work flexibly to maintain safe staffing levels and meet personal development needs.
• Take part in nursing audits and act as a link person for specialist areas such as infection control.

Required profile

• DHA UAE medical health authority license.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing or a two-year nursing degree, with registration as a registered nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand or Australia.
• At least 2 years of experience in a hospital or similar setting.
• Preferred: ONC and chemotherapy certificate.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage digital documentation and communication effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
