Repair Machine Champion

About the role

The Repair Machine Champion (RMC) leads the end‑to‑end repair process for damaged, non‑conforming and re‑work components within Weatherford’s operations in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures technical scope, supplier alignment, inspection, documentation and delivery are managed to achieve safe, compliant and timely repairs, reducing OEM dependency and supporting operational continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Define repair scopes by reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, component condition and historical data.
• Coordinate with machine‑shop suppliers, communicating requirements, priorities, inspections and delivery timelines.
• Align repair execution with R&M, Engineering, Quality Control, Operations and Supply Chain, ensuring proper documentation and logistics.
• Validate repaired components through dimensional, visual and NDE inspections against acceptance criteria.
• Maintain repair trackers, monitor progress, flag risks and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Identify failure trends and supplier performance gaps, driving improvements in quality, cycle time and cost efficiency.
• Provide accurate repair data and cost impacts to global stakeholders and contribute to the Global Repair Catalog.
• Collaborate with other Repair Machine Champions to share best practices and develop repair capabilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 60 months (5 years) of experience in machine‑shop repair coordination or a related technical field.
• Strong understanding of engineering drawings, machining processes and quality standards.
• Proven ability to work cross‑functionally with suppliers, engineering, quality and operations teams.
