Reservations Agent

About the role

We are looking for a passionate and dynamic Reservations Agent to join our hospitality team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth reservation processes and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Process and confirm guest room reservations received via phone, letter, or fax.
• Enter all reservations into the computer system, recording pertinent details and handling inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
• Stay updated on hotel promotions and follow established procedures for rates, confirmations, and facility information.
• Maintain comprehensive product knowledge, understand rate structures, and apply rate management principles.
• Maintain an organized filing system for correspondence and prepare reports for the Reservations Manager or Supervisor.
• Promote positive public relations and work to maximize business opportunities.
• Keep accurate room status at all times and ensure all incoming calls, faxes, and emails are handled according to standards.
• Organize visa requests for guests in line with hotel policy and identify up‑selling opportunities.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in hospitality or a related field.
• Previous experience in hotel reservations.
• Computer literacy with strong written and oral English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
• Customer‑focused, proactive, courteous, and dynamic personality.
• Ability to work independently within a structured environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Strong teamwork, responsibility, adaptability, and respect for diversity.
