Resident Engineer – Electrical Substation

About the role

The Resident Engineer – Electrical Substation will lead the electrical engineering portfolio for high‑voltage power substations (400kV, 220kV, 132kV) in the UAE. The role combines technical oversight, HSE compliance and financial stewardship throughout design and construction phases.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the technical, HSE and financial performance of substation projects for the client (TRANSCO).
• Supervise site activities, ensuring construction follows approved designs and handling non‑conformance reporting.
• Plan, organize and oversee engineering and construction inspection activities.
• Coordinate customer interfaces and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
• Conduct close‑out procedures and verify installed quantities.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in the UAE.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience with local utilities such as Transco, ADDC, DEWA is preferred.
