Restaurant Hostess - Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai

About the role

Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel is looking for a Hostess to act as the ambassador of the restaurant, serving guests by telephone and in person. The Host/Hostess is one of the most important positions for influencing guest satisfaction, and must provide service that is professional, friendly, courteous, efficient and timely. The role sits within the Food & Beverage Department.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a team to ensure timely service and a smooth-running operation.
• Follow all hotel policies and standard operating procedures for guest service, operations and personal discipline and grooming.
• Greet and seat guests warmly, and handle reservations with professional telephone etiquette.
• Be familiar with the restaurant's and the hotel's services.
• Keep the front of the restaurant covered and the entrance welcoming and attractive.
• Check each table is clean and fully set up before guests arrive.
• Ask guests for feedback on their experience and share any problems with the outlet manager while trying to resolve them immediately.
• Help with service whenever needed and work with the cashier, relieving cashiers on break.
